1 August 2006

We woke up to the rain so Rich was already planning our trip with Google earth trying to chase the sun. Now we were heading to Italy. Oh no, I went to chat to our very helpful lady at the hotel Heimgartl and she routed us through Austria. We headed off to the little towns in the mountains and they were very pretty. We visited Swarovski world which is really something one has to do. With all its glamour if you are lucky you will leave with one thing or another.

We had a big problem trying to visit the Silver mine - which I was dying to do. We had to wait half an hour to get tickets and then another 2 hrs to get in. It was raining, there was nothing to do in that area and I was not feeling that well so we decided not to wait.
We then arrived in the oldest town in Austria called Rattenberg.
After that we headed for Kitzbuhel - known for its winter skiing. We arrived rather late after spending almost 2 hours driving a very short distance (hectic traffic). We didn't have any accomodation booked, but got really lucky to find a stunning hotel with very friendly people running it.

I went to sleep while Rich spent time on the computer, making a few calls and then getting a Big Mac and fries.
