2 August 2006

Kitsbuhel is an amazing place and highly recommended- summer or winter. Our hotel Licht is a lovely hotel with exceptionally friendly, helpful staff. The rooms are stunning and it is located right by the town.

The cobbled roads and tiny tunnels, old churches and museums are all fascinating but there is not much English in the museums- not even the main one.
We took a cable car up into the Alps and hiked at the top for a few hours. The rolling green hills and flowers are so pretty and it is so hard to imagine these mountains covered in snow!

If one enjoys hiking this is definately a place to visit with its numerous hiking trails. We took the cable up to Hahnenkamm and from their we hiked to Pengelstein (2030m). From there we walked to Fleckhalm cable and took it down into Kirschberg. We then got a bus back to Kitsbuhel (5minutes-2.30 Euros each).
It was a great day!
