After a breakfast overlooking the vineyards and forlorn sunflowers we set out to explore Tuscany again. We visited a town called Cortona. This town is high up on a hilltop with glorious views. It was a cute town with very steep roads and alleys and lots of wine tastings and bars. We had lunch and moved on to the next tiny town called Montichiello. It was siesta time so everything was closed and it was so quiet. It was now about 34 degrees outside and we thought we should get back to the house(apartment) and chill at the pool. It was a very good idea! Afterwards we walked 2 km into the bustling town of Aquaviva- not- to buy our dinner from the supermarket. On our way a car hooted as it raced by- the owner of the house- and then our friend from the restaurant waved hello. We were starting to feel like real locals. We had a wonderful dinner outside with some vino and salmon and cream cheese and watched a bit of the world news on the TV in our little lounge before bed.
