We woke up and rushed downstairs to the kitchen to get our cereal and milk and we had a quick breakfast. We then caught a ferry to Amalfi and all along the coast there were houses balancing on the rocks over the ocean. It is a very pretty coastline and the trip was enjoyable. We got to Amalfi and walked around the little town and then decided to head for the beach. This was a dangerous expedition since the roads are narrow, very windy and there are no pavements. Besides the fact that the Italians don’t know how to drive. We arrived at a sandy beach and now we had to pay to sit there. A bit of negotiations and we had 2 chairs for a good price. We spent a few hours wallowing in the water and then got back to catch the ferry for Positano. Arriving from the ocean was so beautiful and from the minute we stepped off the ferry the vibe and atmosphere was amazing. It is a beautiful place with many extravagant shops and restaurants with amazing views. The streets are really steep and narrow and not suitable for cars at all. We had a bit of a drink on the beach with some Pringles whilst we waited for the Italians to open their restaurants after siesta. We had dinner in Positano and left quickly realizing we could not afford anything else. The bus trip back to Sorrento was more of a rollercoaster ride and it was packed. Unfortunately a few people got left behind at the bus stop. We did it the Italian way so we were fine, one has to push a little…
