We left the beautiful city of Rome, found the car in one piece, and we were now ready to really relax. We were on our way to Tuscany. It took about 2 hours from Rome by car and we arrived in Montepulchiano (or as Rich calls it Montecuppucino). A gorgeous drive and the little village was stunning. Old narrow and steep alleyways and magnificent views. We found an Agritourism to stay in for 3 nights. A beautiful Tuscan house amongst the vineyards with a swimming pool and our own little apartment. We were in heaven. (La Casa Delle Querce). The area we are in is called Montepulciano but the village the farm is near is called Aquaviva. A small little town with one restaurant. We relaxed in the stunning gardens overlooking the vineyards and sunflowers and breathing the fresh, crisp air of Tuscany. We went to do our shopping to stock up on all the ‘goodies’ from the supermarket and we had dinner in the one and only restaurant in the town. It was really good food and great wine too, all reasonably priced.
