26 October, 2006
We left Jaisalmer after having a great breakfast on the roof overlooking the Golden City. It was about a four and a half hour drive to Bikaner. We were really tired and so we went to the fort, looked around and came back to the hotel. We slept until the evening and we still didn’t feel very energetic. We were literally run-down and fed up. Our room was not great at all and like all the other hotels the hot water either doesn’t work or it only works at certain times of the day. Half the lights do not work and there is no window in the room. I think we are ready to leave India but we still have two more days. We didn’t even bother going into the old city – another dirty city with the same shops – I guess. We had dinner at our hotel and we met lovely Dutch people whom we dined with.
