3 December, 2006

We woke up for breakfast – it was average- but the fresh pineapple juice was superb. We spent most of the day relaxing on a lounger overlooking the sea. The palms were fluttering in the breeze and it was absolute bliss. The pool was crystal clear and very inviting. We swam in the wild sea a couple of times and then had a few dips in the pool. We changed rooms to a room with a better view- closer to the ocean – and we walked to the city. Oh no, not a thriving metropolis at all. In fact it was hard to find. On the way however, we stopped for a big fish and chips lunch (fresh snapper) and two beers that cost all of 9 dollars. We walked back along the beach and it was so beautiful and peaceful. The town is very quiet and Mui Ne is still very untouched. It really is a place for a quiet retreat and relaxation. Well, all went well except for the fact that I had completely lost my appetite and I could not eat a thing for dinner. I was really worried and so was Rich because I have never skipped a meal voluntarily (those who know me will agree with that fact!). Anyway, I passed out early and I think it was probably something called extreme exhaustion?
