5 December 2006
We woke up early after a crazy night’s sleep to catch our bus to Dalat. We were now heading into the mountains to try and avoid the bad weather along the coastline. The bus took about 6 and a half hours and it was not very enjoyable, but we managed. We checked into a lovely clean hotel for $22 per night- not too bad! The weather was not clear, a little bit of drizzle and cloud cover. We walked to the city and had an amazing coffee shake at a really gorgeous little café. This café was built to portray a jungle-like appearance with caves and rocks and trees. We then went for a walk in the drizzle around the lake, the air was so fresh and we were surrounded by mountains. We had dinner – Western style – and we even had a slice of LMP (lemon meringue pie). The third picture is of the roads the morning after the storm leaving Mui Ne taken from the bus.
