Pubes said that he would drive us to Banff and that was really great. We found a hotel quite quickly with a mid-week special and I think we settled for it because we were too cold to look anywhere else. We spent the entire afternoon looking for a condo/apartment for the weekend so that Pubes and family could join us in Banff, so we walked around the whole of Banff town freezing cold. There were some pretty views until the sun set and then it was plain old cold. We then headed for the ‘Safeway’ to get our pre-made chicken because we were not heading out again into the freezing air. We got to the hotel and had a quick dinner with some goodies that we had brought from Pubes and Sharon’s home. It was very comfortable in the hotel and we got into our gowns and headed to the Jacuzzi and steam for an hour or two. We warmed up really nicely and got to sleep soon after.
Banff is a really cute town consisting of one main road and a few off- beat avenues. It is filled with restaurants and coffee bars and surrounded by the beautiful Rocky Mountain Range and it is freezing cold- all the time. Even when the sun shines it is still freezing but when it snows or fluffs it is amazing.
