We decided to do our own walk today instead of waking up early again and doing a full day guided tour. We slept in a bit, had a lovely breakfast with the rest of the pousada and then lazed around whilst it rained a little. Once the rain had stopped we ventured out for a walk to some waterfalls. We started out alright but then things got a bit tricky and we got a bit lost. We had to cross the river a few times and were not sure which waterfalls we were looking for so we followed many paths and saw quite a few falls. We had a shower under one of them and it was really special. There is so much natural beauty here and I think one can walk for hours if they choose to do so. We headed back through the Serrano (many natural pools) overlooking the town of Lencois, and had a delicious pasta before we got back to the pousada. We relaxed there, chatting to everyone, lots of travelers from different parts of Brazil, from The Netherlands and a guy (Daniel) from the US - really great people. We all went out for dinner together and it was really fun. They were all planning the big hike for tomorrow and we were unfortunately leaving on the 23h30 bus tonight. We had to get back after dinner and get to the bus station for our 6 hour journey back to Salvador- yeh!
