We had another awesome day on the island getting to Gamboa village again. We strolled to the rock and painted ourselves again, this time professionally and we swam in our favorite spot. We walked further and the beach seemed to go on forever and so we picked a spot and lay down for a while. It was so peaceful and calm and nobody was around. We walked back briskly just making it in time before high tide. We did lunch at our one and only restaurant on 3rd beach and this time we were there almost 3 hrs. It was wonderful having the water breaking on our feet, the sun setting and the breeze to cool down the air. Tonight was the final show at the theatre and we were told that we should go. We didn’t ask too many questions and so we left at about 21h30. The walk to the theatre was quite long and steep and we finally arrived, it was very quiet, paid $6 to enter and we waited. We waited some more and finally at 23h00 the band started to play. Before the show there was a big screen with the history of Brazil but it was all in Portuguese?! I think that we might have sat there listening for 30 minutes- (along with a handful of others) and we just could not stay any longer so we made the long trek back to our Pousada. The music was certainly not Brazilian and whether they had traditional stuff later, we don’t know but it was enough. Apparently it fills up late but we were not waiting to find out! Brazilians only eat dinner at 22h00 and then they go out partying until 4/5 in the morning. We are struggling to get onto this time zone.
