5 April, 2007

We woke up again to a delicious breakfast and getting served like kings on the patio overlooking the ocean. We walked on 4th beach stopping along the way and swimming in the tidal pools (it was low tide). The water was very warm and the pools were so clear and pretty. We reached the end of 4th beach (4km) and collapsed in the shade for a while. We played ‘hangman’ with our ice cream sticks and then went for a very long amazing swim as the tide was coming in. We made our way to the famous restaurant –AGAIN- and I tried the coco verde (coconut water) instead of the usual Caiparinha. We had our usual swim in the pool and we sat at the pousada enjoying the peace and calm and absolute silence on the hilltop under the stars before heading down to the town. As we walked back through the little town the nightlife was starting and it was definitely more crowded. People were already arriving for the Easter weekend. Tonight was quite a big party on the beach- everyone dancing and drinking- except for us – I promise. Rich had a bit of a cold again so he is trying to brush it off quickly. The whole beach transforms into cocktail bars and palm trees for the evening activity- quite amazing! Everyone only gets going at about 23h00 so when we start walking back to the pousada we are always walking in the opposite direction to everyone else. Perhaps one night we will manage it.
